A Farm Package policy is uniquely tailored to protect the family farm owner's assets.
What's Covered?
A Farm Package policy covers the property and liability exposures of farming or ranching operations.
Property coverage includes the dwelling and contents of the home, barns, outbuildings and other structures, farm machinery, equipment, livestock, grain or feed and other personal farm property.
Other property coverages include Consequential loss to contents of a refrigerated unit and Extra Expense for costs incurred to continue farming operations following a covered property loss.
Liability insurance protects against claims or law suits against the farm owner, the premises or the operations. Coverage can be extended to add liability protection for the use or watercraft and recreational vehicles, or for business activities other than farming. Employers' Liability and Employers' Medical Payments coverage is available for full-time and part-time employees.
What Isn't Covered?
A Farm Package policy will not cover health, life or disability insurance, auto insurance for owned vehicles or specialized liability risks such as professional liability, director's and officers, employment practices liability.
